Our History
The name “The African Apostolic Church, VaApostora VeAfrica†was revealed in 1957 to Paul Mwazha of Africa when he heard the voice of the Holy Spirit.
At that time, the church had not yet been formed, and the words were received as prophetic utterances. From then on, Paul Mwazha’s ministry was marked by miraculous works—transforming lives, healing the sick, and delivering many from spiritual oppression, including witchcraft and demonic torment. In 1959, after receiving a direct and vivid instruction from the Holy Spirit, Archbishop Paul Mwazha formally established the African Apostolic Church.
The Divine Commission
Prior to this, Paul Mwazha of Africa (the Arch-Bishop of The African Apostolic Church) had received his calling in 1951 when he heard the voice of the Lord saying, “who shall we send, who shall go for us?â€.
He then went on to pray to God and saying, “I am here Lord, sent me to your people beginning in Africa first, then the rest of the world if be it your will Lordâ€.

"l had a dream that I was on top of a mountain, I was shown a small plot fenced with wooden poles. The plot lay barren. It seemed to be Autumn. I moved onto a very high rock. I turned east and saw lush green trees. Above all the growth were a group of African men dressed in long white gowns . Thy were singing praises to God. A voice said to me:"
